On September 2nd, B.E.S.T Inc. launched their 2017 competition "Crossfire". The Parnassus Tech team began work on the six week project on Tuesday, and due to the fact that not all game hubs have kicked off yet, we are unable to share any details of what exciting things the game has in store this year, or the work that we've done so far! However we can state that we have evaluated point scoring strategies and are close to having a finalized design on their competing robot! Please stay tuned to the YouTube channel, Parnassus Tech, The Twitter, @ParnassusTech, for frequent updates and to get a visual look at the process of competing in this competition! Thank You!

This week the Parnassus Tech team began working on its next big project which is not being disclosed at this time. The team also posted its first ever YouTube video, starring Canyon Kearney, Phil Alcorn, and a 1953 Willy's Jeep. The coming week should be exciting, so check back next time for a recap of events.
From everyone here at Parnassus Tech: THANK YOU! Our thanks go out not only to B.E.S.T for a great competition, fantastic judges, and great atmosphere, but also to all of the other great teams, we were lucky enough to meet. We had a year of great personal growth, and couldn't be more thankful for this opportunity and experience. Parnassus Tech walked away in ninth place in points scored, but we achieved our over arching goal of winning the B.E.ST rookie award. The entire team was overjoyed with simply the life experience gained from the B.E.S.T competition; walking away with new friends and a shiny gold plaque brought an even sweeter return. The Parnassus Tech team, took a few weeks to kick up our feet and get distance from the past competition in order to have a fair and fresh eye toward evaluating what went right and what went wrong during the six week experience. One of big things that came up in our evaluation was that we could better share with others into who we were. To answer this I would like to announce the creation of the Parnassus Tech YouTube channel. It will be used to show what the members of the team get's up to when they're not building robots, as well as providing weekly updates, of every stage of robot build during competition season. Parnassus Tech has many exciting things planned for the future, so I would implore you to stick around, tune in, and find out. Hayden Bridges. Over the weekend Parnassus Tech attended Mall Day, for the BEST competition scrimmage, to unveil part of what SnapDragon can do! While there, the team was able to get a good idea of what the game field would look like and to test our design on the course, we also gave great effort to meet and interact with other teams, while most did not share our desires, three teams stood out as very nice, Hurst, TX, Azle, TX , and RoboTex.
Parnassus Tech began construction on their final design on the BEST robot (Boosting Engineering Science and Technology). Our hardware team is working around the clock to get it finished; While the head of marketing is having success in publicity efforts, and the documentation team is slowly putting together all of our ideas into a cohesive notebook.
- Cashlyn Kearney, CEO The entire Parnassus Tech Team went out to give an Important presentation about how they came together, engineering and robotics opportunities available to teenagers, and their current BEST project.
Pictured below: The Parnassus Tech Team with Josh Turner Over the weekend our design and build process hit a snag, as any project will do at some point; We met this morning to work on ideas to get around the simple fact that our robot's arm weighs just too much. In order to attack this problem you must attack every aspect of it's design from what it's made out of - to weather it should be there at all. To conclude we have found our solutions and will move forward in building.
Today, our core team and off-sight consultants came together, for a large workday where we managed to flush out our cardboard prototypes and electronics for our new line. It's been exciting through this venture to see this machine form from nothing, along with seeing how we have all come together as team, we've had our tense moments, but we have really all grown closer as a team!
Parnassus Tech would love to hear what you have to say! To achieve this goal we are opening this thread to get a good look at your questions and comments!
